England Ladies Make Gold!

The England Ladies Fly Fishing Team, captained by our very own Club member, Susan Sissons have made gold in the ladies international!

This year’s event was held at Llandegfeed,  Wales. The fishing was hard and the weather hot and sunny with little wind.

The weigh in was close with England having 33 fish, Scotland 28 and Wales 27.

Sue said;

“It is very difficult to describe how we felt once we had learnt we had won but it did feel pretty brilliant. We had a great team with great team spirit and we all worked together.”

The Fishing For Everyone Ladies Fishing Club wish the ladies fishing Team a huge congratulations – you go girls!

Results

1st – England 51lb 3 3/4oz

2nd – Scotland 44lb 0 oz

3rd – Wales 42lb 2 oz
