Today the Fishing For Everyone Ladies Fishing Club joined the Hirst Park Trout Ticklers angling Club for a multi-discipline fishing day at Fontburn Reservoir.

The day ran from 10am to 4pm and 16 children and 8 adults had a superb day.

Kick starting us off in six mixed teams, the HPTT introduced members of FFE to bait fishing. Many FFE members had never bait fished before so this was something very exciting for them.

After lunch the FFE Club members showed the HPTT the basics of fly fishing.

Five fish were successfully landed on the day using both methods of angling (details of catches coming soon!) The day ended with a presentation and lovely BBQ provided by the HPTT.

FFE would like to thank the HPTT for such an enjoyable day and we look forward to repeating it again next year. FFE also look forward to inviting the HPTT on an event organised by us.
