“Some of the best fishing I have ever experienced”

Bad weather did not put a stop to play on Saturday 6th August as the Fishing For Everyone Ladies Fishing Club were invited to fish Hallington Reservoir.
The kind invitation came from the Westwater Angling Club who run the syndicate fishery and are keen to get more ladies into the sport of angling.
Ten ladies attended the event and some great sport was had which included Deborah Ford landing a whopping 5lb bar of silver. Other catches included Carmelle Hook with four fish, Margaret Ward with three fish, Lucy Bowden with two fish and Chris Foreman with one fish. Countless fish were lost by many anglers during the fight.
Unfortunately the Club’s day was cut short as torrential rain and a thunder and lightning storm broke.
Club Chairman Lucy Bowden said;
“Hallington is a beautiful place to fish and is certainly a favourite of mine. The sport is phenomenal with hard fiighting rainbow, brown and blue Trout and our ladies had a great day, albeit for the weather. On behalf of the club I’d like to thank the directors of Hallington for their very kind invitation to fish Hallington and the ladies who made the effort to attend the event in the awful weather. We are looking forward to returning next month!”
