The Fishing For Everyone Ladies Fishing Club was founded in April 2009 by then 21 year old Lucy Bowden and has since grown from strength to strength.
Lucy’s passion for angling is next to none, her idea coming from the deep rooted belief that there was a great need to create a group whereby ladies could go fishing, meet new friends and have fun in a safe and supportive environment.
Today, two years on the Club is home to members of all ages, backgrounds and angling abilities and has a highly active and supportive Club Committee. Lucy is stil heavily involved in the running of the Club and stands as Chairman. A level 2 UKCC game angling coach Lucy also helps with coaching at club events.
The Club are based in the North of England but have members based all over the country. To cater for this the club hold regular, affordable fishing events throughout the UK, covering all disciplines – fly, carp, coarse, predator and sea.
Free equipment hire and tuition from female angling coaches and instructors is available at all our events unless specified and events are always held in a safe, supportive and encouraging environment.
The Club are always looking out for new members and are keen to involve more children into the sport. This year the club have designated Deborah Ford as their Junior Development Officer. If you are interested and fancy having a giggle drop them a line!
